Last weekend I visited the beech forest of Hainich National Park in Thuringia, Germany. I’d hoped the wild garlic would be in bloom, creating a carpet of white against the fresh spring green of the beeches. I couldn’t have timed it better. In many areas the forest floor was blanketed with flowers, a truly beautiful sight. In the shadier spots the blooms still remained closed, waiting for more light. All of the images were taken with a wide angle lens between 20 and 35 mm.
